Cow Cameras
Description
Cow cameras are solar powered or plugged in to existing infrastructure to gather and transmit video on a pen or field of cattle.
At MBFI, a cow camera is used during calving for remote monitoring of calving progress.
Multiple cameras are set up to monitor replacement heifer activity prior to, and during, breeding season. These cameras can be used to verify alerts from other technology, monitor calving, or even take a peak to determine if the bale feeders are empty.
